I saw Valkyrie the other day. I thought it was pretty good. I was aware of the attempt on Hitler's life by Stauffenberg(from an episode of Red Dwarf if I'm honest) but I was unaware of the complexities of it.

I was slightly disappointed by the lack of nordic-looking armoured warrior women though!

Yes I liked it too, lots of plot holes/inconsistancies that the terminator geeks have picked up on, however I thought it was entertaining action and special effects all the way.

this week I have mostly been watching

    "Black Snake Moan" liked it.
    "Doctor Who" reluctantly
"The Red Riding Trilogy" I was well looking forward to it but got a bit depressed by how professionally northern it is (gas works, rain, corruption, pints etc etc)
"Chocolate" more top Thai chopsocky, this time with added disabled child heroine!
"Waterloo" Rod Steiger at his best.
"Let The Right One In". Best vampire film ever.
"The Wire" started from the beginning. Been trying not to re-watch it for about a year Wink

I don't for the same reason I can't do kung-fu films. I can handle Crouching Tiger etc because they have set a scene which is a bit 'fantasy' so I can handle people flying about. But in action films or musicals it just doesn't work for me when people just break into song or start knocking the shit out of each other. Maybe they should combine the two Wink

It's a bit like porn. The action/songs/shagging are the reason and the plot and characters are incidental.

Tarantino is a plagiarist of the highest order. He steals but steals well. Inglorious Bastards is already a film. His is a remake. As was Reservoir dogs.
