What like your bed started flying around and things fell out of cupboards?
What has that got to do with films?

Busted.
Has anyone seen both that and The Fourth Kind?
The Fourth Kind actually had me going for the 1st half of it. If Paranormal Activity is scarier in someone's opinion I will defo get it. I have not been scared all the way through a film since the Exorcist.
also
Don't waste any money on "2012". it is rubbish.
Spend it on "The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus"
It's a bit like Terry Gilliam was given a big budget for once and spunked it on remaking all the themes of his previous films but with all the narrative removed.
That doesn't sound good (it's not his best) but Gilliam at his worst shits on most filmakers from a great height.
Probably from a victorian bloomered cartoon bum in a balloon.
It's a bit like he remade Baron Munchausen but in the absence of using a traditional character and story.
Anyway... brilliant bonkers. See it.

Yeah but you were 8 when Close Encounters came out. And you were Catholic at the time of the Exorcist.

You don't get to stop being one unless you are excommunicated. Even death doesn't help.

So P.A is more of a scare than The 4th?
I thought it was, not much more imo. Tipped the scales when P.A ended, the original ending...

Re: FILM REVIEWS WITH DAVE CLARKE
One of my favourite movies from last year:
http://www.lettherightoneinmovie.com/
So haunting, absolutely stunning visually and sad as fuck.
Kind of watching a strange mixture of Lilja 4-Ever vs. True Blood.

Re: FILM REVIEWS WITH DAVE CLARKE
OK - this is one of those high school cruelty stories.
When I was at high school, I had a very geeky friend called Murray G.
One night, most of our year at school went to see one of the Nightmare on Elm Street sequels, the one that goes all dungeons and dragons, you know where they fight Freddy by turning into warriors or whatever.
The very geeky character onscreen declares "I'm a wizard!"
One of the wags in the audience shouts "I'm Murray G!"
The entire audience - more or less our entire school year - pauses, then shits itself laughing.
The poor kid. I swear this set his emotional development back about 5 years. He slunk out and couldn't show his face at school for months afterward.
