    Veryverywrongindeed Recordings - VVWI025
    Release Date: 14 Jun 2010
    VVWI... a bit meh... - Page 9 Vvwi0211

    1. Gonna Be
    2. Mississippi Disco

    About:
While our last release was from our longest serving artist Richard Seeley (we know Rich, it seems longer!) this is from our newest compadre Mr Timo Garcia. Again we have asked an artist to craft something a little more lopsided than usual and Timo has not let us down. After we saw that you could be weird, wonky AND make people dance with Mike Monday...

Timo has steered us back to the dancefloor with two stonkers that will shuffle anyone's shoewear and put the pimp back in your plimsolls. Rug cutting and general carpet carvery is what we are all about this month and lord-amighty these two deliver. Two sides of the same coin, both of these are clear no-nonsense dancefloor destroyers and we are pleased... yet again... to work with yet another all-round nice fellow and good egg.

Hats off to Timo and thanks! We will let the music do the talking as the boss says these bits of copy don't half bang on. Noted. Reactions please and thank you to all you good souls who have received, listened and given us feedback so far. You are Spamily now innit.

Excelsior to you all, take the rest of the day off... and buy yourself something noice tuuureacle.

    The VVWI team

    "Sleazebox EP"
    Max Cooper
    Veryverywrongindeed Recordings - VVWI026
    Release Date: August 2010

    1. Silicon Sleaze
    2. Tinderbox [Veryverywrongindeed 2010 Update]
    3. Tinderbox [Hans Bouffmyhre Remix]
    4. Tinderbox [Jill Bellac Remix]

    About:
VVWI has always been about being first out of the gate in the UK for new young pedigree thoroughbreds, heavily doped, frothing and keen as mustard. The success of our early work with the now massive Spektre is testament that despite appearances we may actually know what we are doing. This is our second outing with wunderkind Max Cooper and probably the last we will see of our boy as he wooshes past on his way to the big school. We put a hanky to our eye and wave fondly from the pier like the proud but sad mother we are.

In case you've been dead for tax reasons for the last year: Max has come out of nowhere to headline Fabric and bother the top end of many charts in a disturbingly short time and it's nothing to do with us. Recent remix razzle has been for Hot Chip and Au Revoir Simone among many others and while Max has done us the honour of being our chum early doors, the esteemed Traum label is his true home.

Silicon Sleaze kicks off this 4 track monster. Here at VVWI we seem to have evolved a cycle of 'light/dark/light/dark' in our release schedule. And after the very well received and supported wonky dancefloor jollity of Timo Garcia.... once again we hiss and steam in the brightness and scuttle off back into the basement. Along with the aforementioned we have the amazing Tinderbox. Re-jigged and given an airing. Max has taken VVWI back to our earlier works of Spektre/Sheridan darkness and a welcome return it is too. Max has listened, got involved and totally got what we are trying to do. Make house and techno that has no friends and lives on fish heads in the attic.

On remix action we have Hans Bouffmhyre, yet another shockingly young talent turning in a superb warm rolling techno take. Like being stalked by a monster but one you quite fancy. In keeping with Max's proper science background (fact!) we have former Swiss chemist Jill (AKA Gilles) Bellac coming on all ace with his grooving version that all adds up to what we embarrassingly call 'a very nice package'.

Load up on steroids, bung the jockey a drink and whack this pony on the flanks... we have a winner.

    Love and lasers,
    The VVWI team.

    "Viper Room / Cyrus One"
    Codec Shift
    Veryverywrongindeed Recordings - VVWI027

    Release Date: 23 Aug 2010

    1. Viper Room
    2. Cyrus One

    About:
Codec Shift is the alter ego production partnership for house producer Alistair Albrecht and hip hop/scratch DJ Greg Lakin. Both established DJs in their own genres they felt the undertow tug them towards one of their true pleasures, deep and dark foreboding techno. With a wealth of studio experience between them and an established pedigree as producers, their first release Mean Motion was a deep track with a tech house feel. Picked up by Digital London Label Big Love in the Summer of 2009, it was an instant hit on the download charts and soon at the front of every tech DJ’s box pushing the 1st release for the guys into the No.1 Tech house download position on Beatport.

This double A sider is one of those great serendipitous convergences that happen to us now and then. One of many many demos sent to our undersea command centre, Codec Shift actually had the 'thing'. We have a single A&R direction here: "Make it weirder". Most people don't. Codec Shift simply went back and some months later delighted us all with a couple of corkers that sit perfectly in our catalogue.

Viper Room is pure laid back sleaze with a frankly enormously well endowed freak-riff vicar. Glacial, ominous and persuasive... this monster wants your daughters mummy.

Cyrus One is not only VVWI's favourite 80's amplifier it is also a space age groover rolling around in zero gravity trying to collect all the percussion that fell out of the locker on take off. About half way through the good ship enters a dark nebula and all the readings go off the scope.

Pray for our brave crew and eject the core please engineering.

Yours from the sci-fi convention (dressed as Jason and the Argonauts),
