Been checking the forum for a while but this is my 1st post. All I seem to do these days it watch films so I'm straight in with some reviews ......

i saw 127 Hours the other night and I liked it. The bit where he cuts his arm off isn't so bad and Danny Boyle's done a good job keeping you hooked for the whole thing. James Franco plays it well, recommended.

Started watching the new HBO series Boardwalk Empire with Steve Buschemi playing the lead and the first one directed by Scorcese. It's about prohibition gangsters in Atlantic City. It's very Sopranos but that's no bad thing. The main guy from This Is England, the scouse nutter, is playing Al Capone with a very dodgy accent. I've seen the first couple and it looks like it'll be a good series.

Oh, and welcome Mundyke. Good choice of avatar, as soon as it's in black and white, you're a fully fledged wrong'un (ie a figment of Sherrers' imagination Wink )

Geoffrey Rush and royalty - not for me.

I'm going to Black Swan instead, for the pretty ballerinas. And the shrieking.

Now Wookie, we don't call it "fingerbanging". We call it - well, according to http://www.worldwidewank.com/synonyms3.html - "beating round the bush".

Inception - Worth a watch, really enjoyed it. Got a little lost in the third of fouth level. Would definatly watch again.

The Last Exorcism - Personally thought it was a load of wank. Unless you are a fan of exorcism movies you are not missing a lot by not watching it.

Piranha 3D - However I watched in in 2D. Bit like Jaws. Kelly Brook is in it looking fine. There is a scene were a load of americans get munched for being thick cakes, brilliant.

Harry Brown - Great Michael Caine film. Have saved it on sky to watch again. Michael gets fed up with the youth of today and goes out and kicks some ass. Great stuff.

There are quite a few fans of the Wire on here. Tim is a mahoosive fan.

I've just watched a Spanish film called 'Rec' which was pretty damned good.

I enjoyed watching REC. Think the spanish did an all right job. The americans did a remake called Quarantine. Pretty much the same from recolection. Reckon you give it a whirle to compare!!
