Re: FILM REVIEWS WITH DAVE CLARKE
We watched 'Tucker and Dale vs Evil' yesterday
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1465522/
I'm not a massive spoof fan but this did raise a few laughs. Worth a watch.

You know when you thought those fillum posters were really like 1950's films that had been remade... like 'Avatar' with William Shatner and Ava Gardener?
i'm not kidding, it has hasbro on the trailer, ergo based on the board game

No way, it was the Goodies who popularised that particular horsey.

Re: FILM REVIEWS WITH DAVE CLARKE
watched this
which deserves every accolade it's got and more
But i've outnerded myself.
Hiring fillums just out at the flicks off iTunes in HD. oof
No physical things involved. No gold cables. No latency. Nothing. Just digi stiffo.
Basically I've been so underusing my fancy telly it's like listening to Pink Floyd via the hi fi medium of a very hoarse tramp shouting an acappella version of all of Dark Side of the Moon at you at welding volume. But from France.
I honestly thought I'd exhausted all methods of chucking money away but I find new ones out almost daily.
Having flu for 3 days in a hotel instead of on your sofa is a monster BTW

The resemblance is uncanny. I wasn't sure if it was some Sheridan side project.

Re: FILM REVIEWS WITH DAVE CLARKE
The Hunger Games.
It was a good idea but as usual completely ruined by the fact that every single person in it has to be a supermodel. My fave bit is the way the Septics portray future dystopias by dressing people in plain clothes and sprinkling a bit of dust in a careful way on all the poor downtrodden future people with $10,000 teeth and vey clear signs of excellent nutrition and haircare products.
Wrath of the Titans.
Every single person going up to the lady (looked like the manageress) to get a ticket said WRAATH of the titans. She gave me the 3D glasses for nowt for being the only single customer to say Wroth. It looked like it made her day.
It's kak. But great 3D kak. Don't bother on DVD.

Re: FILM REVIEWS WITH DAVE CLARKE
I'm surprised the cinema lady knew the correct pronunciation of wrath.
Is hunger games loosely based on Battle Royale or is it a whole new concept?

It's exactly the same and it wasn't right original then...

We watched Source Code last night. Sci-Fi time travel (but not) action film with a bit of a social conscience starring Jake Gyllenhall
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0945513/
A decent enough film. Worth a watch.

I also recently watched firefox, enjoyed it but it also re-affirmed my opinion that Clint Eastwood is a shit actor.
Saw source code a few months back, not a bad film but bit weird.

Re: FILM REVIEWS WITH DAVE CLARKE
I saw "The House in the Woods."
It's very hard for me to get all the rage into words.
That and 'Hunger Games' basically is America admitting it sacrifices it's children but won't actually stop doing it by warfare.
Maybe I'm reading too much into it. But surely all this pain and emotion doesn't come from losing a tenner?? I mean I know I'm from Yorkshire but...
I now know that Joss Whedon is satan BTW. I always knew, I just needed the evidence.
Sorry it's CABIN in the woods

Watched 'Little Miss Sunshine' on Film 4 the other night. Liked it, worth watching.
Also watched 'Mulholland Drive', proper David Lynch weirdness. Loved it.

If the reviews are anything to go by, then it will be on DVD very shortly.
