I try to do the same, but there are some genres/bands that I just cannot get on with.

I would have agreed but I saw them at Matter a couple of weeks ago and they were truly awful. In my humble opinion.

English theatre. God knows I've tried, but I never want to sit through another theatre production of ac-tors en-nun-ci-ate-ing to the back row, shit all over the stage, props up the wazoo, two minute scene changes, and fucking realism. Lovely people, the english, but they can't act for shit. Broadway is no better, but that doesn't make it right.

Last night had one actor delivering his lines at least twice as loud as everyone else, and about 50% faster as well. He wasn't supposed to play a deaf character; he just couldn't turn off the Glorious Tradition Of the RSC or whichever bunch of arsebackward cakes taught him this crap.

I'd love a show with no props, a few lights, and acting on a more human scale. Recomendations would be good, if you can suggest something to see...
