TO THE DEATH!

To be frank ladles and jellyspoons we've all seen what happens if bagpuss is away.

A good forum needs content and TLC and I am certain nobody really understands how much goes into it.

For example I have to check it every night to delete Welsh's bollocks and sabotage attempts from our friends from Faith. Do housekeeping on it to stop it getting overrun with spammers too.

There is no substitute or quick fixes for doing anything properly I'm sure you agree.

I need to focus on the problems of 'the parent company' and come back to the forum as a consequence of the bigger picture.

I set up Basic's forum BTW

I have to say there is a bit of backstage work that isn't really known.

If that's the case, and I'm sorry if it appeared I was belitting your efforts, that was not my intention, then you're right. You need to shift your focus.

I'm sure if you thought there was a smidgin of hope of making it work, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

But even in the visible stuff... for example people have been clamouring for TB's FASH thing for ages and just to make that happen was a couple of days of to-ing and fro-ing and yeah it wasn't the sole bit of activity for me but it's maybe half a day of work and... well basically it doesn't happen by magic

We've had this convo a thousand times old chum. I've even sat down with you at a computer and shown you what happens when I go on it.

Saying Facebook won't bite is basically telling an agoraphobic that they need some bracing fresh air.

I imagine like mine the inbox is so full of shit you can't empty it fast enough, you can't press a key without someone you've never met wanting to 'chat' with you and the odd perv now and then making you queasy.

His problem is he thinks he has to politely answer every twat and message. He needs to embrace his inner Diva.

Also his page is full of shit because he won't maintain it.

Ultimately I just don't like it. It's the biggest factor.

I have to say if you aren't really really vigilant it can overwhelm you if you have a bit of a name. That is a fair point.
