story of the artwork is we have a tame genius named Ed who I briefed years ago and gets it spot on every time now. A true artist really. There is a wee story in all the pictures that relates to the track, sometimes a bit obliquely... which is nice Very Happy

I know most labels like their imagery as minimal as their tunes. But we don't care Wink

I am very embarrassed to say I have no VVWI cos I am a vinyl junkie. Everytime I get into Soho they have gone (or don't have them). I suppose buying any vinyl is out of the question?

Try discogs for vinyl, they're brilliant if you cant find a stockest of your preferred track.

You will normally find it here if you cant find it anywhere else.

in a way, in the sense you don't book a happy hardcore DJ for a Breaks night.

I'll give you an example. At the start I made it clear we were a bit odd musically so we needed to follow that but not be too obvious about it. I ALWAYS use black and white always have. I love anything victorian so that pops up a lot.

The rest is up to Ed. Basically we exchanged ideas a lot at the start but really he just gets it now and comes out with stuff I couldn't think of.

Lately for the new Matter flyer we were exchanging ideas about a 'portrait' (from Ed) so I said let's give the portrait the head of Sir Charle's Babbage's analytical engine and make it as if a victorian invented such an advanced calculating engine that they gave it robes and made it mayor.
    Very Happy

We'll see the results soon. (crosses fingers)
