Yeah got there a bit too early (8.30?) and Timmy wasn't even there yet. Went and had a nice Viet Grill and came back about 10.

Took a while to find Ed and Timmy cos for some reason they were perched in a wooden toy fort in the corner of the outdoor bit and poor Ed was playing out of speakers that would embarrass a ghetto blaster.

It was quite weird. Met Bunny who was playing and just released on the label. Nice lady. We were told it started at 8 but there was no real VVWI presence til more like 11 by which time I was not far off becoming a pumpkin.

Then my missus popped out to call the babysitter and they wouldn't let her back in. It;s a weird venue I have to say. On the door it's like they are trying to do everything they can not to let anyone in and not in a good way ha ha. I'm used to frisks and bags searches but the whole ID scanner was a bit Gestapo. The main thing was it just makes the door so slow.

Timmy fixed that (I have to say for all the shit going down he was pretty unruffled) then he plied us with unlimited free booze. Which was nice.

Come midnight we were all very merry and the place was nicely packed and rocking. Timmy came on at 2 and the missus was off then and I don't remember much apart from getting home at 6 (unheard of!)

All in all, a poor start but nice recovery in the 2nd half.
