I was on tour with Gary Raymond who was not only in "Look Back In Anger" opposite Richard Burton but also "Jason And The Argonaughts" Shocked

(he was also briefly "The Man From Del Monte" and didn't have a very good agent)

There were no shoes then. Mainly Sandals.

I remember a story that Richard Burton never met his match (in public anyway) for giving forth and generally being a raconteur until he met Gore Vidal.

Vidal sat quietly listening to Burton's anecdotes for ages and eventually piped up and went :

"Anyway Richard... enough about you, let's talk about dermatology.."

Apparently Burton, who had very bad skin and a massive complex about it, was totally silenced.

Anyway that pic reminded me never to cross swords with an acidic intellectual New York Queen Very Happy

Thought that I would bring it back top shoes. I have just bought a pair of shoes for work. They have to be the shines shoes I have ever owned. I have to say that when worn with a suit I do look the part.

Born in New York state, but actually grew up in Oklahoma with Grandpappy Senator Gore (yes, a forebear of the more recent US politics Gore).

This should be in mundane facts, shouldn't it?

When it was the bank holiday party and only the main room in My House was open. Ended up sitting on the third floor with "I think Rog, James's dad and other knaresborough wrong un's. Very Happy
