If you hold rigidly onto the bow there is recoil and resistance you have to use it like a slingshot or catapult and follow through. If you are doing it right you are balancing the bow really lightly. That's what all those carbon fibre counter balance arms are for also.

I would say the past weekends Lympics was and probably will always be the best sport I've ever witnessed. It just all came together. The only shame was Louis Smith missing out on Gold in the Gymnastics.
Other than that, amazing scenes.

Agreed. Seen alot of it on highlights as I have been shitfaced pretty much most of the weekend. But yes its amazing what team GB have achieved.
Did anyone see the rowers badly timed semi on saturday. Good lord.
