The greatest men Empty The greatest men

Post  firi Mon Mar 29, 2010 8:24 pm

Presently I am a clean shaven youth of alarming attractiveness. The greatest men (and some women) of history all had beards. If they were all “hiding” there would be no science to speak of, technology and regrettably religion. Or Geography teachers. Or pretty much anything. All the Beatles had beards quite often. Frank Zappa. Geoff Capes. Darwin. Dali. In the world of Film there is Martin Scorsese, Stephen Spielberg and Francis Ford Coppola. Recently Peter Jackson of The Lord of The Rings fame. I could go on all day. The question is, why do you feel the pressure to scrape at and cut off something every day that is as natural as your legs or head? A lot of beards come about because the person in question may have more on their mind than what other people think they look like, like the origin of the species perhaps.

Wow. Something else I wrote in a magazine.

If you are doing it deliberately you are good. "7" Mag and my article on Beards is fairly obscure.

You need to read the forum, You'll see how we do things.

Most people here are pretty well educated and older.

If you want to impress us with something you'll have to do MUCH better than that.

Preferably something I haven't already written and had published.

Personally I am fascinated by Dark Matter at the moment.

Dark Matter...if there are large bodies, or known as MACHOs - which could be aboot the size of Jupiter, yet not big enough to be stars, but searches have not found enough MACHOs to explain the amount of dark matter in the universe...I don't think many know what Dark Matter is made of, it is suggested that they, or it is made of subatomic particles, maybe neutrino's?Maybe that is one of the jobs at CERN to discover? That is before the universe collaspes under it's own weight?
