Larry Levan's Weekend Plans.
That's a co-incidence. I had an unproductive semi all Sunday.

None. Sometimes it's like the last 200 years never happened on here. Sometimes it's like lady heaven.

Re: Larry Levan's Weekend Plans.
The weekend is upon us again.
Quiet one for me.
Tonight - We have Mrs Bish's little sister stopping over so it will be a nice quiet meal and abit of telly.
Tomorrow- Shopping in the morning - Visit to the stables to see me ma's new pony, possibly a little rasp around the yard on her. I am then out in the local town of retford for a birthday meal with some mates. What a fucking shithole that place is.
Sunday - The in laws over for lunch and then sofa.
Not really digging these quiet weekends.

Re: Larry Levan's Weekend Plans.
Went to see Leftfield @ O2 Academy last night. Pretty good gig. It's only one half of them touring, not that you'd really know. Funny to see all the middle-aged ravers out off their tits on a Thursday night!! Fuck me, it was LOUD!!! I know they were always reknowned for their soundsystem, but the bass was making my eyebrows wobble by themselves!!
Off to see this as part of Leeds Film Festival tonight... High On Hope should be fun to watch.
Working tomorrow day time, and then off to a party in Whitby tomorrow night, and then see the folks on Sunday.

Supposed to meet our timmy tomorrow.
Odds on he freaks out and leaves London the minute he's done what he came for.

I saw Leftfield years ago at the Town & Country Club in Leeds. It was the loudest thing I have ever heard so know exactly what you mean. Drinks were vibrating off the bar when they did their intro.

Re: Larry Levan's Weekend Plans.
I had an awful Shoreditch moment and ran.
In other news I sat and watched the hands of the clock turn and did not go to Basics, before during or after (even on the pretense of 'seeing Roger') for the first time in 16 years. Deliberately.
It wasn't even difficult.

Re: Larry Levan's Weekend Plans.
Oh my god what a monster weekend. This is how it panned out from how I can remember:
Thursday night I went to Morrisons and invested in The Pacific box set, Frozen, father Christmas, Call of Duty's Black ops, Tiger Woods 11 and 2 Bottles of single malt whiskey. I then proceeded home for a a session in front of the tv. Hours past and I soon realised that I was rather leathered and thought I should retire to bed as I had and early start for work on Friday. Also the reason I went and spent so much money was due to me winning £315 gambling. This is very uncommon. Don't watch Frozen it is a pile of wank. Also the kid in Jurassic park is in the pacific. Dose my head in a bit not sure why.
Woke up Friday morning feeling some what tired but surprisingly not that hungover. This would come to haunt me later that day. Arriving at work I was told by the girl on reception that I stunk like a brewery and she gave me to bits of gum to help hide the smell from my sales director. All in all Friday day was not too bad, nearly won a 25k order which would have been a winner. Got home on Friday night with the aim to have a quiet night. My bro got in touch and asked if he could come through from leeds for a spot of dinner and maybe a couple of quiet pints. He arrived and I made Chinese beef with noodles and fresh veg. Which myself, Michelle and Olly ate with chop sticks while drinking Chinese beer. After this myself and my bro headed to evil eye to sample a few cocktails and shots (Evil zombies were my winning drink). Think it had seven different rums in it. After not planning to get drunk ended up twatted singing songs with bro. Quality stuff, we then headed home to realise we had no beer so got a taxi to the asda outside york. Gin and tonic plus baileys was bought and we headed back towards home. The next few hours we shot zombies on call of duty before heading back out for a 4am kebab. I was given an automatic water pistol for my birthday this ended out coming out with us which ended up not being a good idea. After shooting a group of lads in the legs with water we ended up being chased around the streets of york. Some time during this mission I fell over and skinned my nose. Kebabs where still bought and we headed home wards at this stage we squirted a passing car which turned out to be an unmarked police car. Both nearly arrested we arrived home for a quick G&T then bed. Friday had turned out to not be a quite as planned.
Saturday I got up at about 12pm, Michelle made a full fry up which went down a treat. After this we headed into town to buy a fancy dress costume for the Basics 19th Birthday. Once arriving back home I had a chilled out afternoon as I knew the night was going to be another carnage one.
Left home just after 9pm and drove to Leeds. Was parked up and in Basics for just after 10.20pm. Saw Matt Long in que and he took this photo -
Burnski opened with some right tunes followed by Tristan then Derek Carter. Buckley played some right tunes in the black box and Lisa load smashed the granny out of it in the top floor. All in all amazing night. It was far far to busy though which was a nightmare. It took ages to get outside from the inside bar and to get up to the front was nearly impossible. Bumped into rog at the bar but I can't remember what we discussed think it was about the amount of people in the club. Rog said that they could still fit quite a few more in. At this stage I was hanging around with Chris Halliday. We proceeded in getting mangled and talking a load of shit before wobbling back in to listen to some more tunage.
There was a good crowed out shame you could not have made it Tim. Also talked with Killer for some time who was on great form. Matt long was on great form as wll good to see you mate. Myself and Michelle headed back in a taxi to York about 8am ish. With our friendly taxi drive hot dog. Who proceeded to tell us comical stories. I did not speak that much as I was still in a bad way. I looked a little like this at the end.
Dave is still looking very very fresh at this stage. Not sure how!!
Sunday was a right blur. Full of trippy shit going on. Thought there were birds flying about the house at one stage. Not going to go into too much detail as it was all a bit bloody odd. For some reason I didn't go to be until 1.30am this morning. Bad idea as I'm now quite tired at work today. Another nightmare is that I still have not car it is left on some street near headingly.
Have to say that the weekend was without a shadow of a doubt one of the best. (I do say this most weekends though) Love to all have a good week!!

I'll second that Ben,i'm just about ready to head back in to Leeds for a few beers. After the Afterparty on middle floor,we cracked on in the top floor untill about 1.40pm yesterday,by this time things were getting a little hazy.....i remember talking to Rog in the empty main room of Basics, possibly about hotels in London and how he got left in one when he was a child/...i think????????

Great stuff, I was quite on for staying longer as it was still kicking off big time when I left. Michelle at this stage had been a trooper for long enough. I could drink beer just now. Think it would go down a treat. Might sup a few pints of guiness tonight after collecting my car.

I can honestly say that at this stage I was not that bad. Timming of the photo was bad. I had however sweated off a lot of face make up. Have to say that the night was amazing bar the fact that it was too busy. Lisa Load was playing durning the second photo, she was proper ace!!
