In this case, she is an actual woman rather than a man with a Helen Reddy fixation and two fish fillets to hand.
Dear lord - Helen Reddy is Australian? I had NO IDEA.

This is an ace documentary from a couple of years ago if you didn't see it the first time around.

I got angry that this was presenting quite an old discovery as some sort of breakthrough. I just don't get why even very serious topics have to have an injected element of false drama lately. However all old-man clarkson rage aside it's great telly.
clockwork, science and telly. what more is there?

The injected element of false drama you mention timmy is one of the major banes of my life. You think it's bad on a history/science piece imagine what it's like being ordered to put it into news.
Worse of all is when it's crowbarred into something really stupid like the weather.
Yes it is majorly responsible for the hysteria and decline of the economy also.
Oh God I'm so depressed

Re: The Magic Box of Phosphers
A sad, sad day
Blue Peter to be taken off BBC flagship channels for first time in half a century.
The corporation has announced that the show, along with all other children's programming, will be moved off the former terrestial channels to digital channels dedicated to children.
At the moment, Blue Peter runs on both BBC One and CBBC but the broadcaster has decided that at the time of the digital switchover at the end of the year, its premier channel would be better served with adult programming.
A spokesman denied it was a downgrading Blue Peter, whose core audience is six to 12 year-olds.
"It is not being axed," he said. "It is being moved to CBBC where it already premiers. The version on BBC One is a repeat.
"Our figures show that viewing figures on BBC One are falling while those on the digital channels are growing."

You didn't say it starts with the Fibonacci Sequence. If you'd said that I'd have been sold immediately.
You are a rubbish telly-recommender.

Re: The Magic Box of Phosphers
I've never been known to sell quality TV on the basis that an obscure mathematical sequence is used in the opening credits.
What I should have remembered is that I was selling it to you. So yes, in this case, I have failed.
You've now got me swotting up on Euclid's algorithm
*slopes off salivating*

I would hazard a guess that 95% of people on here would find it obscure.

I've read about this but not got round to actually watching an episode. Is it something you can pick up and watch or do you have to see it from episode one?

Oh Lord I've only just convinced Chico there are no more bloody Snow White balls available. Grimm better be good or I'll be upset.

Commercial american TV requires you to see it all and it rations out any plot as thinly as gruel between adverts.
I've never seen it but I'd say yes

I was thinking this, but I was hoping Wookie would say no.
What happened to drama series where each episode was it's own little story. Like TJ Hooker.

I'm off to pitch to the head of programming that there is obviously a huge maths market out there.
