I can't work out if this makes me regional or homosexual. England is a funny place.

It means you're regiosexual, like metrosexual, but more northern.

Hmnmm, unfortunate thread name but anyway Smile

Anyone from oop north (Tim included) doing the Basics birthday this year? I see they have elevated themselves to monarchy and will be having TWO birthdays. Won't be doing the first one but will be up for the second one.

The first part looks horrendously shit and falls on the same night as Claude Young so that's a massive no go. I will probably show my face at the second part though there's no one on that line up i'm bothered about other than Maurice Fulton.

the second one is ok, but apart from maurice fulton it has a depressingly familiar vibe to it.

Don't mince your words mate Smile I'm up for a bit of Luke Solomon, he hasn't played Leeds for ages so should be a bit different. Chez Damier played one of the best sets I've heard in a long time last time I saw him. Hopefully he won't play the same set this time. As for the rest, I'd agree with you.

I didn't even know Bassment Jaxx still DJ'd.

Basics has shown me exactly zero loyalty for years of playing for nothing, indeed bailing Dave out financially. I drew the line there about 2 years back.

You can pretty much substitute the whole of Leeds in that comment.

    NOT house

    http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/clubz/4672348/Get-back-to-basics.html

It's a comedy read from start to finish.

Laura Jones – a Leeds native brought up on the scene – also performed on the night, using her knowledge of the Basics history to really tease the crowd and make them sweat.

    You couldn't make it up.

It amuses me that the Sun have a section called "Clubz". Written and read by Cuntz.

The problem is that 'clubbing' (I hate that term, but can't think of an alternative) does not translate well into text. They just make it sound shit.
