I think a recording of a section of a set at one of the next VVWI nights should be made and then put on here as a download so that new peeps can get a flavour of what they would expect the music to be like at future events thus encouraging them to come along.

Mate they attribute the whole thing (a least 2 hours out of 4 of total crap) to me!

Basically they set a hard drive recording somewhere at the start of the night and leave it running. No markers. No distinction. Even a DJ would be hard pushed to work out who is who.

But you can't ever rely on people to make the distinction. There are bad eggs out there just waiting to pounce. "oooh look! a shit record/terrible mix". They have no idea (or even care) if it's not me doing it. There are plenty out there who can fully hate you and have NEVER heard you play. It's hell out there kids!!

It's hard to control anything of what goes on these days online.

yes mate. In the 'biz' you tend to keep them short as promoters have a short attention span.

Also we release mixes commercially. so in fact this is the first mix in years and we tend to keep a tight lid on them.

When we did the NDSM one for MOS I couldn't even record one for the period of the contract.

Now Mr Seely did a longer mix for us of VVWI tracks I believe?
