No actually I found looking at *ahem* other forums that things get repeated a lot and things fall into fairly vague but generally encompassing sub sets. Much like a nice Venn diagram. I love a nice Venn diagram.
On here we tend to re-cycle. If you look you will see there is activity but new threads had better be good or they tend to get ignored. They automatically disappear if not used enough. Like my ex-birds.
Also we aren't that big. Only been going wee while. We tend to scare people off.
I opted for an explanation there. Instead of taking umbrage. Another thing we do

If this forum does not entertain you then....I don't know, everyday I giggle rather alot on here, get giddy...I have found the regular posters on here very nice people...interesting blah blah blah, and know their elbows from their bumholes. I jumped straight in, and been on everyday since and jolly well love it here...and I am listening to 'pretty green eyes' now (it's on the works radio - not my choice)

haha! no mate.
I've said it before but people do come on looking for a load of nerds wanking over plug-ins and suicidally boring germans but find a load of nerds talking about anything but.
We sort of take it for granted that people know their music. Feel free!
There are no rules apart from not saying anything you would not say to someone's face.
Roger is the only exception, as he is elderly and not himself these days.

Re: Tumbleweeds 2
Yeah we tend to re-use regular threads.
We did find that people get scared off because the come on for reasons such as :
Being teenage nerds looking for other teenage nerds. We are all depressingly not.
Trying to stalk Tim. Which is really funny.
Trying to get freebies. Which they get if they hang around. They rarely do.
Expecting some form of excitement. We are deeply unexciting.
Getting all keen and then finding our archaic use of the English language a bit taxing.
Hoping it's a good way to get a record released. It isn't.
Coming on strong and getting that dead wrong.
It's like any forum though. It has it's ways. It isn't hard to see them over time. Mainly we like a laugh I'd say?

Re: Tumbleweeds 2
it is not like any forum I have been on Al.
what I love most is most of the people are DJs or producers but never mention it. I mean tim is so shit at promoting himself it is hilarious (never posting gigs and dates)
but there is music chat sometimes.
it is quite 'sleepy', which again is a plus for me

Re: Tumbleweeds 2
can't help but notice 'Unknown' dropped the bomb and has not been seen since
i understand that other forums are a sort of online group that are ready to chat 'real time' when you log on but it's a bit more sedate here.
I can see how with other forums you might only read the last few posts on a thread but a bit of tip is you may find a couple of pages added to one of the regular topics since the last visit.

Work to do and all that
I'm into the the old slo-mo chat board as it goes.
I used to like reading the notice board near the check outs in Fine Fare
'For sale slightly chewed dog basket 5 quid O.N.O.'
'Skilled bloke will dig like fuck, 60 a day'
'French Lessons ask for Sandra'
'Mobile Hairdresser - Flat tops and tram lines are my speciality'

Re: Tumbleweeds 2
There is a hairdressers in Rothwell (Kites) and the Italian fella that worked there (Rossi) used to specialise in flat-tops. He charged £6 for a normal cut but added £2 for a flat top as it was harder to do. £8 for a frigging flat top? madness!
Then when he had finished he would he would hold the mirror at the back of your head, as all skilled hair technicians do, and exclaim 'Datza nice and fresh'.
This is the mundane thread right?

Ten points to the man game enough to shout "LESBIANS!"
Fifty points if you manage to run AND get away afterward.
