I left their forum precisely because they were full of hate.

Can't even mention that lot without losing my cool. I fucking hate them. Just the worst type of London wankers. They think they are so brilliant and they really come across as horrible bitter old twats. Sitting in judgement on everything like fat toads.

I only looked at it after you lot were griping about it but it does seem a bit schoolyard on there.

I have to say though, I bought the hardback collection of the original fanzines before christmas and it's an amazing read. A great record of a vety exciting time for UK culture.

I think they are referring to the forum not the magazine mate. Same people I believe.

I've said it before and I will say it again. I like them. I enjoyed their forum. Stop Faith-bashing please!

I agree, although I think it just brings up nostalgic memories of badgering Everton & Umberto in Hip for when they might have the next one when I was 17 for me.

Good old Hip. Passed away my teenage years in there spedning a whole years clothing budget on about 2 items and picking up the latest Basics flyers.

Well I do know that a lot of those guys went on to become the Faith lot... and no I wasn't trying to stir things. Just interested in anyone's opinion that was around at the time.

As MarkD77 said, it was a very exciting time for UK culture. Even though I was still a kid around that era, I still remember it very fondly. I remember buying The Face and other magazines of the time, and it all being completely alien and exciting.

I'd hardly put The Face and Boy's Own on the same level! One of them was a 'style bible' with fuck all readership written by wankers

Muzik Xpress (on the Boys Own label) was one of the best dance tracks ever, of all time, and ... in the world! too. So nyerr.

I've always loved DSK - What would we do? Well until Dizzie Wanker or Wylie sampled it recently anyway...

I loved JBO as a label, they did some absolute belters.

No seriously though. I agree with Johnny he put it well that they place themselves above everyone else and deliver judgement. I mean I was on there quite a bit so it's not a snap decision. School bullies who can dish it out and not take it.
