I remember years ago a good mate who's opinion I actually respect was saying how twitter would be massive and the main argument was the limitation of the amount of words you can use will bring out the best in people. Self-editing I suppose.
My argument was it's all just versions of tin cans on a string. Texting, MySpace... they all come and they all disappear.
He said there was a brilliant tweet from a septic about annoying his Dad and Stephen Fry's was great.
I said sure, there will be great writers on it but have you seen public access television in America? home-made telly? not even funny it's just proper horrific.
I'll save enjoying great writer's work for the stuff they get paid for, it tends to be better.
