You will all be very glad to know that I am alive and well and have returned back to earth following our balloon flight on monday.

If you ever get chance to do one, do it. Its is brilliant. Terrifying at first but pretty damn spectacular once you have reached cruising altitude.

And the landing is funny as fuck. You bounce a good few times in some randonm field and get dragged along for a while then the basket tips up and every fucker falls out. (not quite).

quite a few years ago my ex bird bought me a flying lesson, that was in a little 2-seater plane and was pretty nerve wracking too, would love to try a balloon ride.

happened to me a lot at raves and festivals in the 80's

I have developed a bad back though which i am putting down to the not so gentle landing.

Hahahaha. afraid not. We were warned it may get bumpy. In fact we were warned we may die, so i guess i got off lightly.

Why on earth would you want to rip the piss out of me. I am but a mere country bod.

I like the snow, it brings out all of the idiots in Blyth, and there is a whole host of them I can tell you.

They all meet on a not so distant hill clutching their man made sledges and ride off into the white yonder. Good times.

This weather could seriously fuck up my move though.

Even without bad weather the road is too steep for trucks.

And you know what old folks are like... mine are in bloody Costa Rica and are having me go over there and shovel and grit "in case" before they get back.

I loves it usually. Not this week I don't.

I shall be working from home today because

a) I want to.
b) My car is a bit light for snow.
c) I just don't trust other people on the roads.

I set off to work, got as far as Doncaster. One of my staff phoned me to say don't bother coming in as the roads on Teeside were atrocious so I turned round and came home. Who's coming sledging?
