Re: GAY GAY GAY
Bad, innit... I thought it might be a joke at first. In one way, fair enough - cash in a bit on your name, something for the fans, etc. (and Trentemoller did launch his own line of clothing as well), but my problem with it is that Richie has lost a bit of credibility over the past couple of years - the whole Cube thing (although the Contakt shows were a cool idea, just shite marketing), DJ sets not as exciting as they used to be despite all the noise he makes about his Traktor set up, and I'd really much rather see him release an amazing new DE9 or Plastikman album and prove to everyone he's still got it musically (obviously, I still enjoy his sets but could be better) rather than poncing about with more marketing nonsense.
Oh well!

Re: GAY GAY GAY
KONTAKT!
I'm actually for this. Don't like the minimalische clothes much, but then I don't like his records much either. But I'd rather have 1 Fischerspooner or 1 Peaches or 1 DJ Hell channeling Warhol or doing something new than 1,000,000 minimal DJs in tshirts moaning "it's all about the music, man".
(And given the choice, I'd like 2 Peaches, cause then you can charge extra for the show.)

As I said, I salute his Hawtinosity for doing something more than just playing records...
But this REALLY made me laugh: http://www.factmagazine.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=2523&Itemid=105

Re: GAY GAY GAY
I don't know! boys. Honestly it seems to me it's something people do and others join in. He's not the worst contender by far and does things with a bit of style. He's not nearly as up his arse as the public persona of Sven Vath (although Sven is much nicer in real life).
Sometimes copy gets written and deals get made and you don't have that much control over them in the end.
Dead giveaway ; "And yes, we're more than aware we're not the first people to take the piss out of Richie Hawtin, and we know he's an easy target. That just makes it more fun..."
Don't do it then!
tsk.

No Rog was introduced and it went
"Roger this is Richie..."
Roger looks at him and goes
"oh! negative hitler"
and walks off.

Re: GAY GAY GAY
Tim, what the hell did you say to said negative hitler when rog came out with that little gem.
Did you just carry on as normal or did you actually weep with laughter.
What did Lionel Richly Hawtin say?
