Actually, it's probably a good job, I was in no way on my best behaviour and would not have wanted to offend Mrs RvZ in any way Smile

    Here's my version of events:

I pitched up in London on Thursday as I was planning to meet up with a few mates while I was down there. Started out in Clapham on Thursday evening and ended up central. Back home in Clapham for midnight. First part of the mission which was not to get wasted on Thursday night was successfully completed.

Friday went for a rather nice breakfast then into London for lunch at Spitalfields with another of my southern based friends. Wandered down towards monument so I could pick up some presents from House of Fraser for the CMD. Then it was back to Clapham where a short powernap was taken.

Headed off to meet Tim and others about 6:30pm. Cab driver took us to wrong restaurant so ended up with a 15 minute walk in the rain. Not a good start.

Finally got to the restaurant. Met Ed, who I was told was the brains behind the VVWI artwork, met the lovely Chico (he is officially ace), Mr C (Richard), Con, Josh and some other folk from Southampton. Had a very nice meal which Tim very kindly paid for.

Moved on to cargo where I met more people but by now my head was bulging with names so if it was anyone from here sorry for not remembering your name. Us Northernz only have the capacity for remembering about 4 new people per event. Ed was warming things up nicely ion the bar and it was looking pretty busy. I will admit I was slightly nervous, but only because I wanted to make sure this night was a success for Tim. It was clear some effort had been put into this (mostly Tim’s).

10pm came and I made my move, went pretty well, dance floor was probably 50% full when I finished which wasn’t bad considering. Between 11 and 12:30am the place really filled up and when Tim came on at 1:00am it was pretty rammed.

Tim was bang on form and the place absolutely rocked until 3:00am, Got loads of positive feedback from people in the crowd. It was a real party atmosphere, none of the beardy chin-stroking Shoreditch set about.

Tim finished at 3:00am like a good boy and here’s where, as usual, it all started to go slightly wrong. I noticed I’d started to get louder, which is never good. We gathered together a small band and headed off for more fun. We ended up in some proper basement rave just off Shoreditch High St which was massively ace. Overdid things (as usual) and ended up out until 6:30am (I’d told the CMD I’d be on the 10am train home). Got back to my mates in Clapham at 8:00am after the most horrific tube journey ever (after enough MDMA the London tube map becomes more difficult to read than Hieroglyphics). Got 90 minutes sleep which was enough to restore me to something like human and headed off on the journey home. Slept all the way to Darlington and got home feeling surprisingly chipper.

Fantastic weekend. Looking forward to the next one cheers cheers cheers cheers cheers cheers cheers

    nice work T ballz

    "Medicine Man / Halland"
    Socket Science
    Veryverywrongindeed Recordings - VVWI039
    Release Date: 19 Nov 2012

VVWI's new Swedish Ambassador to the court of Oof is Simon Gustafson operating under codename Socket Science. Simon co-founded and runs Stockholm based label Astor Bell and we are honoured to have him join us. Simon was one of the early adopters of Berlin and lived there falling deeply for all things electronic. It must have been destiny as he is also a keen cyclist as were Kraftwerk so... tenuous link established!

Back in Stockholm he has put together a wonderfully warm and intelligent release for us that is very much holding onto what may be the only summer we get this year. "Medicine Man" is the sound of a sweltering Swedish summer. We LOVE this in the office. It's well proper. Perhaps the most jolly of all VVWI's releases we sincerely hope it will cast a smile over many a dancefloor. Good medicine. Heap strong medicine.

"Halland" is a wonky, beautifully un-quantised graceful stagger across the astounding terrain of the Swedish region of the same name. We imagine it perfect for taking a very long walk through the natural beauty of that country. Drunk as a bastard on fathers day.

Raise your horns of mead and toast our Scandinavian fore-fathers.

    Skål!

It was a really good night.

    Wasn't it?

The only thing stopping me thinking it was is that I can't remember DJing. Not that bad in itself I can manage, it just bugs me that I don't know if it was alright or not. Musically.

Plus I really did not want to get that way.

It was the shots with Southampton and the blast from the french lot seconds before starting that did me in.

That's why it was bad. I was fucked before I started. Embarassed

It was a really, really, good night.

Have you seen the other facebook pics? Loads of people having an ace time. Tons of smiling faces.

The kids were well down with it, fact. The dancefloor was rammed until the last tune finished.

Oh and you will very pleased to know that Insane Bolt from the Red Hart asked Gemma if Tim wold be inetrested in playing at the Blyth village festival next year. Apparently its going to be a 12 hour musical extravaganza. Gemma did explain that your music probably woudnt go down well with the blue rinse brigade. Very Happy
